The Spiritual Path in Daily Life:  Exploring The Mahatma Letters

The focus is on the exploration of the essential steps required to awaken our spiritual awareness when travelling with intention on our spiritual journey or path.  The material for the course is taken from The Mahatma Letters to A. P. Sinnett and the two books, Letters from the Masters of the Wisdom (edited by C. Jinarajadasa) that deal with the requirements for leading a spiritual life.

The study begins with some background information with regards to the Mahatmas and the material being explored, and will define such things as the two concepts “chelaship or discipleship" and “probation.”

Several of the letters that relate in whole or part to these concepts will be examined.  The basic question asked throughout the study is:  To what extent are the ideas and ideals presented relevant to our lives today?

The format of the sessions will be a mixture of presentations on the chosen letters, with some background context mixed with interactive discussion.  There will also be a chance to explore some of the recipients of Mahatma letters and why they might have received them.
