The National Section of the Theosophical Society was established in 1896 and serves as the administrative and governance arm of the New Zealand Section, its branches and centres. You can read more about the history and the people involved on this page.

Events

The National Sections hold events throughout the year which include an Annual Convention, a School of Theosophy and an Immersion Weekend as well as webinars.  Information about these can be found on the Events page.

Membership

We encourage prospective members to apply to join their nearest branch, where they can attend local meetings. If you are not near a branch, you can apply to join as a National Section member. You can download the application form, fill it in and send it to the Membership Secretary using the postal address or email at the top of this page.

You will need to include the annual subscription fee:

    Waged:            $35.00

    Unwaged:        $25.00

Deposit to the Section Kiwibank account which is 38-9008-0248554-00, listing your Surname in the reference field, and ‘TS sub’ in the particulars field.

    Celebrating 150 Years of The Theosophical Society: Trans-Tasman Panel. Sunday 16th November 2025 at 7:00pm. This special event will be an online panel of theosophists from New Zealand and Australia. In this session we will discuss significant moments of the past 150 years, challenges facing the Society in today's world and what might the future for the Society look like. Registration for this free event opens on 1 October 2025.
