Central Region Tour by Richard Sell
Richard Sell comes from a Theosophical family in New Zealand and first joined the Theosophical Society as a teenager. Richard loves all things theosophical, but he is especially interested in the self-awareness and transformation process that is undertaken by the individual and how this can be applied in everyday living.
He is a history buff and theosophical history is near to his heart. He is the National President of the Theosophical Society in NZ, and a past President of HPB Lodge in Auckland.
Richard has presented throughout New Zealand as a National Speaker and has also presented internationally at Adyar, Indonesia, The Philippines, and the World Congress in Singapore. He contributes articles to theosophical magazines and is very active in promoting theosophy as a founder of the theosophy.world resource website.
Richard is presenting two options to the various centres in the region:
Searching for Harmony
Everything in the world seems to resonate with a natural harmony, we see this in science and music, and this applies in a grand cosmic sense too. As human beings we struggle to bring harmony to our planet and in our relationships with each other. The barriers to living a harmonious life are explored, looking at karmic aspects and our own behaviours which are driven ultimately from our personal perceptions and the worldview we hold. How do we find true harmony?
Evolutionary Cosmic Time
Humans tend to view time and the cosmos from our limited personal perspective, living as we do, but ‘three score years and ten’. The vast expanse of space and time appears to be a void that our minds have difficulty in grasping. As modern science pushes the boundaries of what we know about the reaches of the universe, theosophy puts forward thought provoking views on our place in the universe and what our distant past was like as our species evolves throughout the eons of time.
This presentation is based on Madame Blavatsky’s magnum opus, the Secret Doctrine and explores our evolutionary pathway on this planet and its place in our Solar System, from an esoteric perspective. We discuss Easter Island, the Bamyan buddhas, the nineth planet, the vastness of time and space, and the unfoldment of conscious as we proceed on this momentous journey.
