Every human life carries within it seeds of light - the innate capacity for wisdom, compassion and transformation. In the midst of our busy lives, we may ask ourselves: how can we consciously tend the seeds of our own unfolding?
At the 2027 National Convention, we will explore the art of nurturing the inner life. Through engaging talks, experiential workshops and collaborative inquiry, we will consider the habits, disciplines and perspectives that support inner growth.
ABOUT THE CONVENTION
The 2027 National Convention marks the 130th annual convention of the Theosophical Society in NZ - quite a remarkable achievement in longevity! The convention is an opportunity for the society's members and like-minded individuals to gather and share in discussion, enjoy each other's company and attend the presentations and workshops that are offered throughout the programme. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with friends - old and new alike - and go deeper into the teachings of what's known as the ancient wisdom or perennial philosophy.
This year, the convention will be held in Whangarei at the Distinction Hotel. Located just a few minutes’ walk from the Whangarei city centre, the Distinction Hotel features scenic views, indoor pool & spa, fitness centre and free parking.
Accommodation is twin-share with a single-room upgrade package available. Each room is fully air-conditioned with WiFi, TV and tea/coffee facilities. Meals are available during the convention and are included with a full package or can be purchased separately as required.
The convention opens Friday 15 January and concludes on the evening of Monday 18 January.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: SHIKHAR AGNIHOTRI
Shikhar has conducted study camps, seminars, youth camps, and lectured publicly across India on Theosophy and holistic living. His writings have appeared in national and international journals in multiple languages. Shikar an International Speaker and currently the International Vice President of the Theosophical Society. For Shikhar, life is the one book that cannot be borrowed or repeated - read through awareness, lived through understanding, and realised through inner transformation. Guided by a deep intuitive conviction, he continues to walk the Theosophical path, knowing there is no other way to truly live. |

KEYNOTE SPEAKER: CATALINA ISAZA CANTOR
Catalina comes from Colombia, South America and is an international lecturer, author, and prominent figure within the Theosophical Society headquartered in Adyar, India. She frequently writes and speaks on modern theosophy, esoteric philosophy, and the practical application of spiritual teachings. Catalina leads international workshops on the concepts of universal kinship and Unity of All Life. |
