2026 National Convention

1290th National Convention of the Theosophical Society in NZ Inc.

The Spiritual Journey and the Unfolding of Consciousness

15 - 20 January 2026

Longburn Adventist College, Palmerston North

As we travel our own unique path on the spiritual journey, we each contribute to the greater story of the unfolding of consciousness of Humanity. We might well enquire, ‘What is this great unfolding and how do we play our part?’

At the 2026 National Convention, we will explore the many facets of the spiritual journey – examining the stages, insights and practices that shape our growth, both individually and collectively. Through inspiring talks, experiential workshops and heartfelt discussion, we will delve into the nature of consciousness and how we can be active participants in this shared adventure of awakening.

ABOUT THE CONVENTION

The Theosophical Society's annual convention has been held for over 125 years - quite a remarkable achievement in longevity! The convention is an opportunity for the society's members and like-minded individuals to gather and share in discussion, enjoy each other's company and attend the presentations and workshops that are offered throughout the programme. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with friends - old and new alike - and go deeper into the teachings of what's known as the ancient wisdom or perennial philosophy.

This year, the convention will be held in Palmerston North at Longburn Adventist College, just a few minutes drive from the city. Twin-share accommodation is available on-site in the school's dormitory rooms and includes full meals for the convention. Meals can also be purchased individually for those not staying. There are different registration options available at the bottom of this page depending on your requriements.

For those driving to convention there is plenty of parking available on-site.

OUR SPECIAL GUEST DR. GRAHAM MEAD

Graham is a South African-born former medical doctor whose career path has evolved into an exploration of consciousness, the mind, and the essential connection between physiological awareness and personal well-being. He has three decades of martial arts experience, along with post-graduate studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Graham’s work synthesizes breathwork, movement, subtle energy therapy, and meditation, offering a holistic perspective on health and self-awareness. He sees the body-mind as a dynamic, sensory and vibrational phenomena, with an innate drive to thrive and an infinite capacity to do so.

His work is inspired by a sincere pursuit of truth and embodied self-awareness, through which he cultivates practical methods that lead to measurable experiential insight.

Graham will be giving the keynote presentation for the convention on Friday evening, as well as facilitating an experiential workshop on Sunday morning.
