Description of the event.

Camp 2017 ‘Unity in Understanding’ is to create an open, respectful space in which the diversity we see (through exploring shared understanding and connection) becomes both valued in itself, and increases the sense and experience of what unity is all about. We are all connected, our future is dependent on being able to work together. We will explore in an interactive shared experience, with support facilitation.

Who is it catered for.

General guideline 18-40ish however this is not rigid. Attendees are expected to be responsible for themselves. This camp will cater for people who are enquirers, have an open view and are interested in understanding what connection in diversity can be.

A brief outline of the expected programme

Friday night – Welcome, general info including H&S, campfire.

Saturday – ‘connect in’ activities Expression, Nature, Diversity.

Sunday - ‘connect in’ activities Wellbeing/Spirituality, Exploring, Future.                              

Monday – ‘connect in’ activities Understanding. Debrief, Lunch at beach. 

People with expertise will facilitate with interactive workshops, activities and discussions to share information.  There are daily welcome and debriefs.There will be ‘chill’ options i.e. movie, fireside, throughout. Provision has been made for pastoral care oversight.

5pm Friday 14 April to approx. 12pm Monday 17 April.

Sleeping arrangements

Shared cabin bunking and facilities, each cabin holds x8 with own shower/toilet. There may be some limited provision for individual tent/camper van if necessary, cost not affected.

Meals 

X3 standard meals daily(hearty camp grub) included in cost. There will be consideration for communal vegetarian options and people can bring their own preferred food.

Costs

$120pp includes accommodation and main meals

Payment (full $120 includes camp activities, shared bunk accommodation and x3 daily meals):

At time of registration $20 to confirm booking

Balance $100 in full by Friday 31 March (can pay $50 17 March plus $50 31 March)
